I Support Our Troops, But Not the Military Industrial Complex

“Do you realize what the military has done for you?”

Yellow and camo ribbons on cars, declarations of gratitude on Veteran’s Day – “Support Our Troops” is a big rallying cry in the US.

So is it possible to “support our troops” while criticizing the military industrial complex? Some people believe criticism is equal to spitting in a soldier’s face.

But the breakdown in this comic really shows how you can support members of the military while seeking to dismantle the system they’re caught up in – and why doing so actually means you’re standing up for justice.
