National, Affordable Childcare Is Possible – So Why Don’t We Have It?

Who takes care of children in the US when their parents go to work?

Policies like subsidized childcare and paid leave could provide answers to these questions – but instead, each family has to figure it out on their own.

But what would you say if you knew it was completely possible to have national, affordable childcare? This comic shows that it’s happened in the US before – and it’s happening in plenty of other countries now.

Which leaves us with a crucial question about what’s stopping us from having this now.
