Dear Everyday Feminism readers, we need your help.
We all know that our communities are being attacked and exploited more than ever by Trump, a blatant racist and misogynist, and those like him — across the US and the world.
Over the years, you’ve come to rely on Everyday Feminism to help you understand how people are being impacted by oppression and what you can do about it.
Right now, it might feel like you need us even more than ever.
We need to get real with you: EF doesn’t have the funding to operate for much longer. If we're not able to raise $6,000 in memberships by March, we may have to cease operations.
When we asked for your help last year, you showed up. We were able to survive because you all supported our #SaveEF Emergency Booster Fund campaign and because we began operating leaner.
You showed us how willing you are to throw down for Everyday Feminism, how deeply you believe in our work, and what a profound impact it’s had on your life. Because of your generous donations, we were able to pull through for over a year!
And now, we’re continuing the fight to take Everyday Feminism to the next level! Because we’ve taken the time to pause, dream, and respond to what the world was calling on us to do by offering new ways to help bring personal and social liberation to the masses.
This year, we’ve built:
- An online School for Social Justice that offered 20 accessible webinars at low-cost (and free to those most in need!) exploring things like healing for survivors, alternatives to police and taking your anti-racism to the next level.
- A revamped Speakers Bureau with some of the most brilliant feminist leaders of this moment: adrienne maree brown, Latina Rebels founder Latina Rebels founder Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodriguez, Jacob Tobia and Zahira Kelly (@thebaddominicana), just to name a few.
- Live events programming led by Sandra Kim, giving folks the opportunity to even deeper healing, racial justice work in person.
In short, we’ve done a lot. But, in order to continue to #KeepEFAlive, we need your financial support.
Because of our huge impact, we’re often mistaken for a large company with lots of staff. But the reality is, unlike many other media sites, we’re a very small (but mighty!) team founded and led entirely by POC, LGBTQIA+ people, and other folks from historically oppressed communities.
We’ve always been committed to paying our writers more than almost all other media outlets of our scale because we’re deeply committed to paying folks the fair wages they deserve for their labor.
Many of our writers, all of whom come from communities on the margins, have gone on to get jobs at and write for places like Huffington Post, YES Magazine, New York Times, and Teen Vogue.
Not only are we offering a platform for folks to write about the communities they’re a part of, we’ve also given them tools and training to become the powerful storytellers that are so badly needed at this moment.
So we’re asking you — our loyal readers — to rally behind us once again so that we can back away from the continuous threat of shutting down and FINALLY become fully financially sustainable.
Getting financially sustainable means you can once again get the transformative educational content you’ve come to expect from us, without the worry of us disappearing — ever.
If only 500 of you sign up for a $12/month membership (about the cost of a Netflix account!) we will no longer be in danger of shutting down.
(And if only 700 of you sign up, we can hire more folks and publish more of the articles you want every day!)

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!
I'm a member via Patreon, should I sign-up here instead?
If you're already a member via Patreon, then you're all set and don't need to make any changes. It's a little more streamlined if you sign-up here directly as a member, but there's no need to switch over if you're already a patron on Patreon for us.
How will this change Everyday Feminism for non-members?
Nothing will change for non-members. You’ll still get access to all the new articles published on our online magazine. However, members will get access to some exclusive additional perks.
Can I pay by check?
If possible, we prefer for it to be paid via credit card so you can easily set up your online membership account. However, if you can only pay via check, please make it payable to “Everyday Feminism” and mail it to 75 N Woodward Ave #87683, Tallahassee, FL 32313. Let us know via Contact Us form so we can set up your online membership account for you.
How do I know if my payment went through on this site?
After you sign-up as a member, you should be sent to a thank you page and receive an email receipt of your payment. If you did not, please let us know via our Contact Us form, and we will work it out.
What are your major expenses?
We run a very lean organization in terms of overhead with 80% of our expenses paying for staff and writers/webinar leaders. Within our limited financial resources, we strive to pay equitably and pay for all posts, including even cross-posts – even though the industry norm is to pay nothing or a pretty low fee for even original posts. And since we’re a bootstrapped independent media organization led by queer people of color, the money to pay for this important work doesn’t come from venture capitalists or a large media conglomerate – which is sometimes the case for other media sites. It comes from our community of readers like yourself!
What if I already donated to Everyday Feminism?
If you’ve already donated to Everyday Feminism, thank you so much for helping us to stay afloat! Your donation allows us to continue offering our online magazine for free to everyone, including readers with more limited financial means. We also invite you to continue showing your support through small monthly payments by becoming a member.
Why is $7 the lowest amount allowed? Can I give a smaller amount?
We really appreciate your desire to help keep Everyday Feminism alive! In order to ensure our ability to produce high-quality work, we have to set the membership minimum rate at $7 per month. If you would like to give a smaller amount, please make a non-member one-time, or recurring donation here.
What if I’d like to donate more than $45/month?
Awesome! We’ll use your donation to offer a free membership to people who’ve applied for a scholarship. Please let us know via our Contact Us form.
Can I give membership as a gift or sponsor a specific person?
Yes, you can! Please let us know via our Contact Us form.
I want to support Everyday Feminism but don’t want to become a member. Can I just do that?
Sure, you can set up a one-time or recurring donation without becoming a member here.
I’m a vendor who would like to offer a special deal to your members, who should I talk to?
Please let us know via our Contact Us form.
There’s still ads on the site. Why aren’t you ad-free yet?
It’ll take some time for us to build up our membership to where we can be fully financially supported by our members. Until then, we have no choice but to continue having ads. But if you want us to get rid of them faster, please become a member here!
Is this a tax-deductible donation?
No, this is not a tax-deductible donation but rather a membership program you’re signing up for.
Still got questions? Please ask them in our Contact Us form!
