Locatora Radio
Locatora Radio is the audio-digital lovechild of Mala and Diosa, two Latinas born and bred in LA. Diosa, a queer, high femme Peruana-Mexicana, is a writer, community organizer, and mental health advocate. Mala is a Xicana, writer, rape crisis counselor, self-defense instructor, and sex educator. Mala and Diosa are self-taught, DIY podcasters. Like most millennial love stories, Diosa and Mala met on the internet. Together, they became “Las Mamis of Myth & Bullshit” and conceptualized Locatora Radio, A Radiophonic Novela. Locatora has become synonymous with discussions of femme tech, femme defense, and loca epistemologies.

Talks
Loca Epistemologies
The Loca is the one who exposes violence, who causes a scene, who talks about taboo topics, and demands that she be treated like a human being. This talk delves into the particular ways that gendered and racialized violence have coalesced to stigmatize and pathologize historical figures in Latinx folklore such as La Malinche.
Femme Defense
A workshop about the history of self-defense and resilience of femmes and womxn of color from a Latin American and U.S. Latinx context. We locate the anti-colonial origins of self-defense historically deployed by femmes of color in the face of conquest, genocide, displacement, enslavement, and intra-community patriarchal violence.
Femme Tech/Podcasting 101
Podcasting 101 is a DIY podcasting workshop for youth. By the end of this workshop, participants will have learned creative ways to build your own podcast or online platform from scratch.
Multidimensional Heaux
As survivors of sexual violence, what does it mean for us to not only reclaim our bodies, but also have open and healthy sex lives? What does it mean to have a hoe kit? And how can that keep us safe? In short, this workshop asks the question, “Can puteria be praxis?
