Reporting date:

February 1 - California attorney membership is divided into 3 compliance groups by last name: Group 1 (A-G); Group 2 (H-M); and Group 3 (N-Z). Each group is up for compliance every 3 years.

Credit hour:

60 minutes. Divide the total length of the program in minutes by 60 and round to the nearest quarter hour. Check individual webinar descriptions for total credit amounts.

Limit on credit hours for self-study:

Attorneys must earn 12.5 credit hours through activities qualified for participatory credit (or one half of their proportional requirement). The remainder (up to 12.5 hours) can be earned through self-study. Everyday Feminism offers both self-study and participatory credits.

Everyday Feminism provides certificates of attendance via email to all registered attendees for courses completed. You will receive the credit certificate. For CA specific credit requests see "Attendance Reporting" below.

Attorneys are responsible for tracking their MCLE credit and reporting compliance to the State Bar of California at the end of the reporting period as needed. Everyday Feminism webinars are considered self-study or participatory. Check the descriptions to confirm the classifications for individual webinars. MCLE certificates for completed courses are provided to all attendees upon completion as long as you provide a signed copy of the CA attendance roster.

AB 1825 requires that any organization that regularly employs 50 or more people, including remote workers, independent contractors and full time employees, provide its supervisory employees with at least two hours of interactive sexual harassment training and education, within six months of their hire, and once every two years.

In effect since January 1, 2018, SB 396 amends AB 1825 and AB 2053 to require employers with 50 or more employees to train managers and supervisors on how to identify and prevent harassment based on gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation.
