Know how it feels to have everyday things like nighttime noises or a dreaded “we need to talk” message fill you with anxiety?
Then you’re really going to be able to relate to this.
Unfortunately, anxiety disorders are still widely misunderstood – but these illustrations by Mumbai-based artist Pranita Kocharekar will remind you that you’re not alone.
This series, called Is That You?, aims to help people who are struggling acknowledge their anxiety as the first step toward getting mental health support.
Pranita drew from her own experiences and those of her friends to capture these emotions, choosing a humorous approach to add a little light-heartedness to an ordinarily heavy experience.
She told the Huffington Post, “It’s very easy for a person suffering through anxiety to worry about having anxiety. I hope that my illustrations will ease them a little.”
It can be quite a relief to know that you’re not the only one with your struggles – so take in these illustrations as a reminder of that. You can find more amazing art from Pranita Kocharekar by visiting her Instagram.
