What does it mean to be transgender? If you’re cisgender, the best way to find out is to listen to trans people – and here’s a chance to do just that.

This video from the National Center for Transgender Equality features several transgender adults and children, and members of some of their families, sharing their stories.

The info here includes the challenges of living in a transphobic, binary society as trans and non-binary people – like facing rejection, discrimination, and violence.

But you’ll also find out what you can do to support trans people. So spread the word to help make a positive change.
