What Everyone Needs to Know About Teenagers and Mental Health

“Why are you telling people you have problems?”

What happens when young people talk about mental health and struggles with mental illness? Too often, teenagers feel alone in their struggles – especially when adults dismiss their mental health needs.

But this episode of Degrassi Group Chat is a really cool example of the positive things that can happen when youth get a chance to open up about mental health.

Check out the conversation as these teens talk about their experiences with mental health struggles, what supports their self-care, and what they’d tell a young person who’s having a tough time. If that young person is you, try reaching out to the Kids Help Phone.
