Is it possible to disagree about politics with your loved ones without your relationships with them going to hell?

It can be tough. After all, you shouldn’t have to be silent about the issues that are important to you – and issues that have a big impact on people’s lives, including your own. But it can be hard to maintain relationships if you’re in constant conflict.

Here’s one perspective from someone who’s been through some contentious conversations with family. If you’re in a similar situation, these dos and don’ts may apply to creating healthier conversations in your life.
