(Content Warning: Sexual assault)

If you’ve been sexually assaulted, you might feel confused about what happened and what to do next.

Dr. Lindsey Doe of Sexplanations has some answers. In this video, she responds to a viewer who’s wondering if what happened to them counts as sexual assault.

She’s also providing tips for where to turn to for help. After being assaulted, you can feel alone and have lots of questions – like whether or not to report your attack to police. No one path is right for everyone, and only you know what’s best for yourself.
